The brief was acoustic and visual separation without losing daylight near Rosebank. Solid walls would have killed light and brand warmth across a floor plate that still needed meeting rooms and focus zones for a growing team.
Screens had to divide commercial space while preserving sightlines, so visitors still read timber and daylight rather than a corridor of closed doors. The layout also had to stay flexible enough for future desk moves without rebuilding partitions.
The Booysens workshop cut solid oak and oak-veneer screens, then finished them in a mono-coat oil/wax system that can be repaired locally instead of resprayed after the first knock. Fixing details were kept discreet so the slats read as architecture.
Layouts were set out to keep daylight moving through the floor. Acoustic-friendly spacing was specified where meeting rooms needed more hush, then the screens were installed as matched runs so the office still feels like one interior.
